Unchained Melody
Jacob Whibley
From October 14 to November 18, 2017
objects resonate in time and space. or is it that space resonates with objects over time. maybe time resonates as a space for objects...
a process: as you add something e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g shifts. but things are constantly shifting. so they shift just a bit differently. and not just because of you - we are haunted by collaborators.
t-o-g-e-t-h-e-r
we stack.
describing space. building meaning. contrasting time(s).
t-o-g-e-t-h-e-r
we dig.
cutting away reveals more. cutting even deeper - still more.
the parts are greater than the wholes.
stack again. dig again.
a result: heavy ghosts, speculation, constant m-o-v-e-m-e-n-t , and conversations from under the floorboards.
..and time goes by so slowly and time can do so much.
