Galerie Nicolas Robert is proud to present À l'absence du corps replies the presence of its projection, an exhibition by Maude Corriveau. In this body of hyper-realistic drawings made with colored pencil and dry pastel, Corriveau studies the materiality of light. The title, borrowed from Stoichita in Brève Histoire de l’ombre, refers to research on our relationship to worthless objects, their relationship to a given space, and the virtual and material existence of their representation. Between natural and artificial, full and empty, presence and absence, the slow gesture of the hand interferes with the consumption of the ephemeral.
