Art Toronto 2023
Galerie Nicolas Robert is pleased to be participating in Art Toronto 2023, taking place from October 26-29, presenting the work of twelve artists in over four distinct spaces.
In booth B50, we will be presenting recent sculptures by Ghazaleh Avarzamani, highlighting materiality with her use of stained glass and loofah, as well as two works by Sameer Farooq, who is concurrently presenting a solo exhibition at our Toronto gallery. Sobey Art Award finalist Anahita Norouzi will present new glass sculptures from a series created for the exhibition at the National Gallery of Canada. We will also present recent paintings by Laurence Pilon, Andréanne Godin, Justin Weiler, and Maude Corriveau, celebrating their technical quality in painting and drawing, as well as new spiritual explorations by Caroline Cloutier. We will be collaborating for the first time with Yale MFA graduate Natia Lemay, and with emerging Montreal-based painter Malcolm McCormick.
In booth B44 of the Discover section that promotes emerging artists and presented by RBC, Mel Arsenault, and Devon Pryce will engage in a dialogue with new paintings and sculptures.
As part of the Focus exhibition, titled Good Foot Forward, and curated by Kitty Scott, is included Ghazaleh Avarzamani's Act II, a work that refers to the politics of games and, more specifically, its rituals of spectatorship.
In the entrance lobby, find new large-format sculptures from Tristram Lansdowne’s Residual series, and near the VIP lounge will be showcased a large-format painting by Laurence Pilon.
